A graphic designer/creative director with over 15+ years experience developing visual marketing communication campaigns geared toward government, non-profit and business audiences. I have met the communication challenges of many technology companies in brand development, product and services promotions, product launch and all aspects of visual marketing communications.  After spending many years in corporate communications and large creative agencies,  I decided to venture out on my own and start This is Think.  I have had the pleasure for the past 8 years doing something that I truly love - designing.  Whether it is a simple business card or a large brand identity, I have had the pleasure to work directly with my clients to achieve great communication materials/campaigns.   One of my greatest achievements has been a brand campaign for a spinal device company. I began working with them on the development of their brand in 2005. The company began by introducing  three spinal devices into the marketplace.  Today, they are one of the top spinal device company’s in the world and still a client.

 

My goal has always been to develop long standing relationships with my clients and to understand their goals. I believe everyone has ideas.  I listen to my clients, for they know their business better than anyone.  It is up to me to learn from them and to clearly express the essence of their communication challenges. I am dedicated to the absolute and complete satisfaction of my work whether it is a simple ad or a complete brand awareness campaign. With my large agency background, I have learned that communication pitfalls can be avoided by trusting and listening to input from clients and all team members. I truly believe this philosophy is the building block for great campaigns and designs.

I have developed visual marketing communication campaigns geared toward government, non-profit and business audiences. Before beginning my career, I attended West Virginia University where I obtained a BFA in graphic design. After graduation my career path lead to Washington DC.  I have served as an award-winning creative director for both creative agencies and internal communications departments, building and inspiring creative teams in the design field.

 

My expertise lies in direction, design, and production of corporate/government marketing communications programs focused on meeting strategic objectives in brand and corporate identity. Other areas include direction and design of advertising campaigns, marketing brochures, newsletters, logo design, electronic communication/social media, annual reports, exhibit design, video management production and staff leadership.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

During my career, I served as creative director for government contractors GTE Government and DynCorp where I was responsible for the design, implementation, and management of a new umbrella image and brand across the companies.  After leaving the government arena, I served as creative director for the MKT Group - a communications firm focused on government brand communications.  During this time, I lead campaigns for the U.S. Air Force and the Department of Education.  I went on to serve as associate creative director for Sage Communications where I worked on the ad campaign for AT&T Government and most recently creative partner with SQN Communications before leaving to focus on This is Think.
